On uncertainty and trust

Sometimes I think… maybe the hardest part of life is uncertainty. We don’t know what’s coming, we make plans, but no plan ever works out perfectly. And in those moments, we need something to hold onto: trust.

But trust isn’t just about others. It’s about trusting our own path, our own choices, and sometimes even the flow of life we can’t control. Trying to control everything is exhausting. Letting go a little—it feels less like surrender, more like courage.

The Stoics used to say, "stay calm no matter what happens." The existentialists added, "uncertainty is inevitable, but you can still create meaning through your choices." Both sound true to me. It’s like you need to accept things and still take responsibility at the same time.

Yes, uncertainty can be scary. But think about it: it’s also what makes life exciting. If we already knew how a book would end, would we even want to read it? Maybe trust is simply the decision to keep walking, even when the road ahead is unclear.
